Sport Pilot - Certified Flight Instructor

A FAA Sport Pilot Certified Flight Instructor (CFI-S) is a flight instructor just like any other FAA flight instructor (CFI), except a CFI-S is a CFI with a sport pilot rating. A CFI-S has privileges similar to other FAA certificated flight instructors (CFI).
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Hold a sport pilot certificate
- Be able to read, speak, and understand the English language
- Have a current driver's license
- Have logged at least 150 hours in airplanes and the required training for the CFI-S rating per FAA regulations
- Pass a knowledge test as well as the practical test
Certified Flight Instructor

A Certified Flight Instructor is the person who makes flying dreams come true! You can be making the difference in others having their dreams fulfilled.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Hold a commercial pilot certificate
- Hold an instrument rating (for helicopter CFI)
- Be able to read, speak, and understand the English language
- Obtain at least a current third-class medical certificate
- Have logged at least 250 hours (200 for helicopters) and the required training for the CFI rating per FAA regulations
- Pass a knowledge test as well as the practical test
